Film Insidious: The Last Key 2018

Insidious The Last Key atau yang dikenal Insidious Chapter 4 merupakan film bergenre horor supranatural garapan oleh Adam Robitel (The Taking of Deborah Logan, Chillerama) selaku sutradara dan Leigh Whannell (The Mule, Keep Watching) selaku pembuat alur cerita film ini.

Film ini menjadi ke 4 dari Insidious franchise dengan mengikuti alur cerita atau sekuel dari film Insidious Chapter 3 yang dirilis tahun 2015 lalu. Dengan kembali diprakarsai oleh James Wan (Jigsaw, The Nun, Aquaman), Oren Peli (Paranormal Activity franchise, Area 51) dan Jason Blum (Amityville The Awakening, Halloween) selaku produser yang bekerja sama dengan Universal Pictures dan juga Sony Pictures Releasing selaku pihak distributor film.

Menghadirkan kembali pemeran utamanya, Lin Shaye (Ouija, The Black Room) yang berperan sebagai Elise Rainier, Leigh Whannell, sang penulis yang berperan sebagai Specs dan Tucker yang diperankan oleh Angus Sampson (Mad Max Fury Road, Winchester). Dengan turut serta aktor dan aktris lain seperti Josh Stewart (Malicious, Back Fork), Kirk Acevedo (The Visit, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes), Caitlin Gerard (The Assignment, Stony Brook) dan Spencer Locke (Tarzan, Babysitter's Black Book).

Sebagai pihak produksi film, Blumhouse Productions dan Stage 6 Films telah menjadwalkan film Insidious 4 ini akan tayang pada awal bulan januari yang menjadikan film ini sebagai pembuka film horor ditahun 2018 nanti. Pada awalnya, Film ini dijadwalkan tayang pada tanggal 20 oktober 2017, Namun ditukar dengan film produksi Blumhouse Productions juga yang berjudul "Happy Death Day".

Film Insidious The Last Key melanjutkan dari film sebelumnya tentang penyelidikan dari seorang parapsikolog, Elise Rainier yang akan menyelidiki gangguan supranatural baru-baru ini yang terjadi dirumah keluarganya di New Meksiko. Sebuah rumah yang pernah Elise tempati di masa mudanya dulu.

The creative minds behind the hit Insidious trilogy return for Insidious: The Last Key. In the supernatural thriller, which welcomes back franchise standout Lin Shaye as Dr. Elise Rainier, the brilliant parapsychologist faces her most fearsome and personal haunting yet: in her own family home.

The film is written by co-creator Leigh Whannell (Saw), who wrote the trilogy and directed Chapter 3; produced by Insidious regulars Jason Blum (The Purge series, Get Out), Oren Peli (Paranormal Activity) and co-creator James Wan (The Conjuring, Furious 7); and directed by series newcomer Adam Robitel (The Taking of Deborah Logan).

Shaye is joined in the cast by Angus Sampson, Whannell, Josh Stewart, Caitlin Gerard, Kirk Acevedo, Javier Botet, Bruce Davison, Spencer Locke, Tessa Ferrer, Ava Kolker and Marcus Henderson.

Steven Schneider, Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, Charles Layton, Bailey Conway Anglewicz, Couper Samuelson and Whannell serve as executive producers. Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions is financing Insidious: The Last Key, and domestic distribution will be handled by Universal Pictures. Sony will handle international distribution.
